HYUNDAI VENUE MONIKER CONFIRMED FOR VITARA BREZZA CHALLENGER

THE HYUNDAI VENUE IS A SUB-4-METER SUV, SET TO RIVAL AGAINST THE MARUTI SUZUKI VITARA BREZZA. OFFICIAL UNVEILING TO TAKE PLACE ON THE 17TH OF APRIL.
In an official correspondence, Hyundai has confirmed that their all-new sub-4-meter SUV, set to challenge the likes of Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza and Tata Nexon, will be called as the Venue.
Speculations regarding the official moniker of Hyundai’s urban SUV were quite high. Earlier it was referred to as the Carlino, then QXi and then changed to Styx. In addition to revealing the official brand name for this vehicle, Hyundai has also confirmed that they are going to reveal it in flesh, in India, on the 17th of April this year.

The Venue is going to get Hyundai’s latest design language. Going by recent spy shots, we can confirm to you that it comes with sleek LED daytime running lights at the front. Sitting below it is the main headlamp unit, integrated with the fog-lamps. And in between these is the large chrome grille braring Hyundai’s cascading design.
When viewed from the side, the Hyundai Venue looks like a smaller derivative of the Creta. This particular design attribute is likely to favour this vehicle as it gives it a jacked-up stance. The rear fascia of this compact SUV should come with LED tail-lamps and an augmented boot-lid.

On the inside, the Hyundai Venue should get good quality materials. The layout should be simple in typical Hyundai fashion. Expect this vehicle to feature a dual-tone colour scheme. In terms of features, expect the Venue to be feature loaded, especially when we talk about the top-spec variants.
In terms of safety, the Hyundai Venue is likely to get a decent package as well. Right from the base variant onwards, you will get dual-airbags, ABS with EBD, ISOFIX child seat mounts, rear parking sensors, high-speed alert system along with a warning for driver and passenger seat-belts.

The Hyundai Venue is going to get two petrol and one diesel engine option. As standard, there will be a 1.4-litre petrol engine borrowed from the i20. This engine will be paired to a 6-speed manual transmission. The diesel engine will be a 1.4-litre unit borrowed from the Creta. This is likely to be paired with a 5-speed manual transmission. But the highlight will be the 1.0-litre, 3-cylinder, turbocharged petrol engine, paired to a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission.

Expect the prices of the Hyundai Venue to start from INR 7.5 lakh and go all the way up to INR 11 lakh for the top-spec diesel variant. Considering this, the Venue will be in the league of Ford EcoSport and Mahindra XUV300 than the Maruti Vitara Brezza and Tata Nexon.
