2019 BAJAJ DOMINAR PRICED AT RS 1.73 LAKHS (EX-SHOWROOM) – REPORT

THE PRICES OF 2019 BAJAJ DOMINAR HAVE BEEN LEAKED BEFORE ITS LAUNCH. THE UPDATED POWER CRUISER NOW GOES FOR RS 1.73 LAKHS (EX-SHOWROOM). 

A couple of weeks back, the 2019 Bajaj Dominar was fully revealed. The changes in the engine, feature list and styling were completely listed. However, the prices were not revealed at that time. 

The prices of the updated Dominar have been leaked, ahead of its launch. The official launch is still underway, which might happen anytime soon. It is now priced at Rs 1,73,870 (ex-showroom Delhi). 

The prices have been hiked by just Rs 10,000. Earlier, it was priced at Rs 1.64 Lakhs. Bajaj has ensured that with major updates in the Dominar, its price remains as competitive as earlier.

The 2019 Bajaj Dominar gets a power boost on the same engine. The 373cc liquid-cooled DOHC motor now produces 39 BHP and 35 NM of peak torque, with the engine mated to a 6-speed gearbox. 

The power figures have increased by 4 BHP. Also, the engine is now much smoother and refined than earlier. Other mechanical change includes the addition of premium USD forks at the front, replacing the conventional telescopic forks. 

The instrument cluster on the 2019 Bajaj Dominar has been revised, and now there is a small digital screen atop the fuel tank. The new screen shows gear position, trip meter, clock, etc.

Now, the new Dominar is available in Hulk Green colour option and the regular Black colour. The alloy wheels lose the golden touch and are now silver brushed alloys. 

With all these new upgrades, we expected the prices to be up by nearly Rs 15,000-20,000. However, if this is the original price, Bajaj Auto has surely surprised us in a good way. 

Dominar goes against the likes of KTM Duke 250, Royal Enfield Classic 350, Thunderbird 350, Jawa Motorcycles and Mahindra Mojo. All of these come in the same price range of Rs 1.5 Lakhs to Rs 1.8 Lakhs (ex-showroom).

With decent pricing, the sales of 2019 Bajaj Dominar will definitely receive a boost. For the past couple of months, it has been barely selling more than 200 units monthly.
